Wow, beauty-full! What's under those Whiskeys? Looks like a #4 peeking out.

Yes, I was trying on both these lasts recently and I fit in the same size in both in cordovan.
Requoting a post I dug up while Google imaging Cigar Longwings... just incredible.
Day Trippers are my dream Aldens of Aldens, and these just topped them. Except getting my hands on a pair of Day Trippers is probably more feasible than Whiskey shell cap toe boots.
What would you like to know?
It all depends on the characteristics of your feet. I am a slim guy with boney feet, so true-to-size the heel had a bit too much volume. A chubbier fellow with fatty feet might not have that problem, but might find that it's tight across the vamp, as many complain about. Being a slip-on, it needs to be big enough for you to slip on, but fit well enough that your heel doesn't slip out when you walk. I found that sizing down a half size and down 1 width fits best for me. The lined Alden version took a long time to break in due to its stiffness/rigidity. I also have the unlined brooks brothers version, which runs more true-to-size (for me) and is more flexible/supple.
On a side note, Do many people find that they wear the same size in van and barrie? Obviously it varies person to person, but are they similar enough in shape and form that such a generalization can be made with a high degree of validity?
I am not sure if it is useful for you guys, my personal experience
Barrie last - 6.5D (LWB, tanker boot, cap toe boot)
Van last - 6E / 6.5E, where 6E has less heel slippage (alden LHS)
Leydon last - 6.5E / 7E, where 6.5E is a little bit more snug and I prefer it (unline suede chukka)
All of them feels snug.
Tassels in HK only stocks E width of Van and Leydon last. They said most people in HK (Chinese) could not wear D width in these lasts.
So with these narrow lasts, I would recommend try the shoes on as far as practicable.
Still a source of contention... I try to avoid a count, but I know the truth. Golf shoes throw me over the top. But should they count??
I just get the eye roll at this point. It kinda sucks when I get new shoes, and I excitedly try to explain why they are so cool to her...I get the look up from the iPad for about a second, and then she looks back down as soon as I turn my attention to point something out on the shoe. By the time I finish my shpeel, she'd been ignoring me for a good 5 minutes.
Looks good G, though how you wear boots in Hotlanta is beyond me! My buddy is going down there with his kid this weekend for the Smoltz baseball tournament, he showed me the forcast, I nearly died...
