You're welcome.

I don't think there's a single correct conversion, but I think usually a 42 translates to something around 9 US.

Thanks. Does Alden do European sizing specifically for European markets? The reason I ask is I'm wondering if something Mauro Poluzzi's site marks as a 42 is actually stamped "42" on the inside of the shoe, or if it's stamped "9" (or something else) and they're just doing their own conversion on the site.

44 (which I am hoping is a 10.5 which, on the Barrie, will fit perfectly).

An interesting question for a more experienced person than me to answer smile.gif Or we can just wait till thecentennial receives his pair.

Thank you. White OCBD, orphaned seersucker suit jacket with the perfect blue and pink tie. I usually wear a navy sport jacket with it but it was sooooooo hot yesterday.

So the Leather Soul black shortwings in size 9.5D arrived yesterday... I normally wear 10D/9.5E in barrie (brannock size 10E), so I was planning on sending these back to get the 10D version... However, after looking at the length of this shoe (and given I intend to wear it with suits and dress pants), I decided to try them on. They fit fine; they are snug (similar to how my Ralph Lauren Marlows fit), but they fit. So I have decided to keep them. I now have Aldens in sizes 9.5D, 9E and 10D on the Barrie Last (in narrower lasts, I have to get 10E). I will post pics this weekend.

But i would like to know

NST boot in color by Leffot,Context,Leather soul,The shoes mart are very similar right but in my opinion AldenXLeffot is unique or the picture lie me.

Although i have to go back, i still stay in this web board. Moreover, in next year if possible i wanna attend to NYU. i will come back here USA i love this country. biggrin.gif

Chanakit, not sure if you've given Alden of Madison Avenue or Alden of DC a call about the Whiskey NST, but both stock that shoe. They could very well have your size.

I don't think anyone has answered your question about the colors in the different photos. I think the colors can vary a great deal in photos, depending on the lighting and some other factors.

Shoes and boots in Alden color #8 should be pretty much the same when you finally get the shoes in your hand. The rarer colors, including whiskey, could show variation from batch to batch, as well documented in this thread. I'd say, on the whole, that you can't really assume that a pair of shell Aldens you order will match the photo you order from. Sometimes this is good, and sometimes this is bad, depending on what you are hoping for.

I hope you can pick up something from your list before you depart, and that you make it back to the good old USA soon.smile.gif
