^^ Honestly, if I were you, meaning if I wasn't so Big in Japan (12D), I would definitely check out MOTO in Aoyama. Excellent craftsmanship that rivals Alden and is very reasonably priced, when compared with importing.

There's a thread here:

Edit: Let me add that there is a bit of a push to try and get larger sizes from MOTO, if anyone is interested feel free to voice your interests at the MOTO thread.

I have not used it on calf myself. However, I can imagine it would darken calf (if it's a light shade).

Excuse my poor pictures and jeans roll:

How sad that he felt he needed to apologize in advance for the roll on his jeans.

It should only be used on calf, never on shell. It does darken it a bit as well.

Really like the profile on those boots.

One of the worst parts about Alden is the wait. Constantly checking a tracking number is so frustrating. I have been waiting since last Wednesday to get my Whiskey Indy's from DC. I still have 2 more days...

Actually, my Black and Tan Indy boots from Epaulet, made in Horween's Pegasus leather, are my go-to rain boots recently. I'd just like to mix it up with something that might be a little easier to dress up than the Tru-Balance Indy style. Thanks for the great suggestions!

Ah okay, sorry I was of not too much help haha. shog[1].gif Do tell me more about this Pegasus leather though...

I'm thinking about something in Kudu for a foul weather shoe, but there's not a lot available.
There is a chukka from TSM.

I would like a LWB in kudu, but can't locate my size anywhere.

I think I saw some irregulars of those LWBs. Kudu seems like a pretty good choice - I think some PTB would be lovely.

Just called Tom Austin...nothing good in my size unfortunately. But, my NRO snuff suede chukkas should be arriving sometime today. biggrin.gif

Just listed a pair of 10 D color 8 LWB on Ebay. Here's a link:

I just can't get the sizing right on the Barrie last. I'll try again, as one does with true love, but I may end up being a full size and a half off my proper fit in standard U.S. sizing. Wish I lived near a brick-and-mortar store so I could try a few different sizes on.

At any rate, sorry for the griping. It's just disappointing because I got such a good deal on these babies (from the TSM irregular list) and they're gorgeous, but they simply don't fit.

I found that sizing the barrie last isnt simply size down 1/2 from your usual size, at least not for everyone.

But when it is, it's oh so easy and efficient.
