Damn, I'm tempted.  Need a black shell PTB.  Interested to see if this works.

haha I've gone to the checkout page twice already and held off. I'm backing up my phone and hard disks right now so being on a computer is really tempting me... I really want the LS Jumpers or a officer / naval style boot that's a bit more dressy though and already have two pairs of Indys.

Stevent, you could've bought my jumpers - well I don't think it's the right size haha.

FUGGG I wonder if there is a way to change the shipping to 2 day, getting very paranoid.

Hehe. I feel like if they're not going to give them to us, faster shipping probably won't fool them. My order status is "Being Assembled".
ye i dont see why faster shipping would keep them from canceling your order?
Probably assuming that rushed shipping means processing and getting the shoes out of the place faster - less time to check fine print.

i got free standard shipping...I will be traveling a lot of the next 2 weeks so I'm in no rush to get them.

Faster shipping probably won't stop them for canceling but if there's only one shoe in a size and a few people bought them the faster shipping guy is probably at the top of the list

Aldens are not that rare, you would be best served just trying a few on. Even if you have to abuse the mail-order returns of an online shoe store like Zappos or Endless, you should really try some on yourself.

+1. You can only size down if you have a narrow foot. I have a wide-ish foot, and the Trubalance fits expertly 1/2 size down; the Barrie does not.

I'm looking at a pair of Alden short-wing bluchers that are color 8. Would they work with a dark jean?

Just ordered the tan suede chukkas from NRO in an 8.5E. Here's to hoping they've really got them in stock. I'm going to expect the worst I think.

See below. I just received these a few weeks back and they don't seem too dark. Although, even shells in the same batch can seem to vary.

Color #8 pretty much works with everything.  Where are you seeing them?
