No. I wear brand new denim that crocks (bleeds) and whiskey chukkas all the time. Indigo has never gotten into the shell.
For that matter I've also been wearing snuff suede Indies with said denim, and haven't seen any noticeable marking with them either.
Go ahead and rock 'em!

Thought so. I have a very high arch as well. That's a good looking pair of modified last shoes.
