Fit question: I was measured as a 9.5D on the Brannock and these are a 9D.  They feel really good right now, fit-wise.  I can feel the slightest bit of pressure at the widest part of my foot, but nothing uncomfortable.  My question is, with this leather, will stretching occur to the extent that the the uppers will eventually be close to touching each other at the laces?  This, I would perceive as undesirable.

 

I'm a little afraid right now that they fit and I'm gonna have to keep them...

You guys are killing me with these....I probably still have about another 4 months or so before my Ravello wingtip boots show up

Kwaker - these boots have only been worn about a dozen times but yeah, the toe is worn away. I think it's a combination of my stride and the fact that I walk about a mile to and from work every day. Every pair in my closet has the same problem, even my old 974s which have steel toe taps.

Aldens love flush toe taps.

#8 on the Barrie last, if they're from J.Crew.  

Yeah pretty much any model of Alden from J Crew will be on the Barrie.... with almost no exception

I bought a pair like a year ago and it ended up showing up with a defect. I got placed on the wait list a few times and they lost my order. eventually, i was able to locate a pair in store and they shipped that one to my house. they were supposed to take me off the wait list, but they didn't. i check my bank account this morning and see a charge from Jcrew. I call them up and am notified i have a pair being sent my way. it'd be nice to have a second pair since they are my favorite boots (barrie haters should really consider these because they fit slimmer and look more elegant than any barrie pair i've ever had) but I'm saving up for an omega speedmaster and I can't swing the extra cash right now. Figure I'd try to flip them on the forum since they seem to have been bumped up in price on the site since I put the order in.

Jesus fucking Christ! That's the most annoying website I've seen! I literally could not find what I was looking for and got tired of their idiotic gimmicks and simply logged off. Guess I won't be spending any money at Stronghold.

The only exception is the Indy boot on the Trubalance last.

As well as the Alden for J.Crew plain-toe boots & Alden for J.Crew suede boots

Long time/first time...

 

Beautiful.  I am eagerly waiting for my pair when Leffot's pre-order comes in.  I'm curious about the sizing, though--do you have any Alden's to compare them to?  Leffot says they size like the Barrie (so I ordered them the same size as my longwings) but other sources say they are true-to-size.  What's your experience?
