I like the darker color of "this," but I agree with the commando sole comment.

Both natural CXL.

I prefer the bottom. I think the sole would last longer. Are those 2 boots actually in stock somewhere. I've been looking for a Natural CXL indy in an 11 for a few weeks and haven't had any luck.

They were from Alden of DC, purchased last year. Why, do they look unusual?

Is the edging black? Mine have antique edging. Also the welt stitching on mine appear to be lighter, more of a tan color. Mine are from Leffot.

Ok...technically- I took these pics last week...but the sentiment remains the same...

Seems like Ravello goes well with blue...

Leffot makes its LWB with antique edging and a light trim. Alden of Carmel's cigar LWB has the same lighter sole. The "standard" LWB (sold at Alden stores) all tend to have darker soles.

If they are from AofC they are on the crepe sole. Thats why it looks black.

borderline, how do you like the shell on the crepe sole? How is the wear?

They look beautiful. I just have not heard too much positive feedback on that sole.

i've owned 1 pair Aldens and they were super comfortable and very well made, but is that the main draw? There are plenty of well made shoes produced, i dont get why so many are Alden nerds on here.. most of the shoes are not the easiest to look at? why the intense love and obsession for the brand.? enlighten my ignorance pleaseee..
