I can confirm they are Whiskey. After seeing them in person, I wouldn't necessarily agree with their condition rating. I've seen worse, but I would say they look like they have at least a couple of dozen wears on them.

Is this a new sole that alden is starting to use (i've only seen the darker plantation crepe with the leather toe) ?

Thank you. These are about five years old, but I've worn them pretty lightly on the whole. I've decided I need to put a few more miles on them.
