this guy has an AE shell belt

for a used belt, price is kind of meh but you could always try to work out a deal with him. if too big, a cobbler could cut down, it's easy to do.

there was someone on ebay a while back selling BB shell belts (new) for like $70, I remember linking to it someone on SF

found it: was this guy. maybe you could try contacting him

aaaand double edit. looks like he still sells them but inventory comes and goes

I got my black cordovan captoes in the mail today. First off, they are gorgeous. Such beautiful shoes. redface.gif

Secondly, though, I'm noticing that I'm getting a noticeable amount of heel slip in these shoes (Aberdeen last). Not enough to make my foot slide completely out of the shoe, but enough so that it's a constant annoyance. Can I expect this problem to be slightly alleviated as I put some more wear in these shoes, or is the Aberdeen last just not for me?

Fits well everywhere else, though!

I was fortunate enough to actual meet the man, and he is one classy guy, and it oozes from him. He is also extremely friendly, so simply calling him "sir" is not enough. He is, our Uncle.

Fits well everywhere else, though!

Depends on the slippage, but once the sole wears in a bit and the foot bed conforms to your foot, it should lessen considerably.

After wearing them out briefly today, I think that the slippage is definitely annoying, but it's not enough to make them unwearable. I'll keep at it for a while, and hope that the slippage problem lessens after a few wears. smile.gif

My first shell shoes, though. And so it starts...

NP. The aberdeen last is a tough last to get right , but the same thing happened on my barrie lasted longwings and the heel slippage has decreased and is now almost non existant.
