Wolverine 1000 mile -size 11 D

It sounds like the boots I ordered will be too small. I really hope that isn't the case.

I got some Kiwi mink oil in the mail today. I'm going to apply it to these Pitt Boots and hope that it'll work in waterproofing them. smile.gif

I don't believe you have anything to worry about. I have this hole on my Alden boots. I believe it is part of Alden's manufacturing process. I forgot the complete explanation for it, but I believe this is where the uppers are joined when they make the boot.

I don't wear them that often because I have to unlace the top to two eyelets on each side and really loosen the boot up to get my foot in. I haven't timed it but it "feels" like a couple of minutes to put them on. I am an admitted inpatient person and this just annoys the hell out of me.
On the other hand, I have caught the hem on a nice pair of trousers on a speed hook and that annoyed me also smile.gif

My experiences exactly. I only wear my eyelet wingtip boots generally on the weekends when I’m not as pressed for time. I too have to unlace the top 2-4 eyelets to put on my boots. For during the work week, my Plaza Indys with speed hooks are very convenient.

Turns out my sizing experiment is still onging... So, nice pair of #8 LWBs in my sig. Would be very interested to trade for a LWB in 10D if someone has a good condition pair. Shoot me a PM.

Also, some great boot pics these last pages! Thanks!

Hey guys, thanks for the advice. I was thinking that maybe I accidentally jabbed it with a knife or something earlier on in the day. smile.gif

LMAO! this has been discussed to death. It is discussed to death earlier in this thread. It is normal...and not just for Alden.

ps: im an 8.5D barrie/trubalance and took the same size for these in grant. can def tell these are slimmer and tighter but not uncomfortable and not enough to size up. i am sure it will stretch just slightly enough to not be tight

Is it more common to size down in the grant to the same as barrie or stay the same as plaza? I wear a 9.5 barrie and 10 plaza.
stay with barrie size
