Thanks, Mc.

I'm waiting to get my black shells in on 5/11 according to FedEx. Ravellos won't be in until Aug-Sept. Going to wait until these two come in before taking a family picture. I'm done with Alden for now. Maybe I just need a pair of navy blue Tricker's to spazz up the collection a bit.

Ive experience this to a varying degree at Alden SF. Just depends who you talk to. However when you do get ignored, its pretty blatant

Leather Soul is just killing me lately. Just ordered the suede PTB in snuff and the tan V-tips. Won't be here for the Monday collection photos but I'll get the others ready.

Nice purchase! They both look great, but that PTB is stunning.

Serious question: Is there a way to manually alter the edgetrim on a pair of Aldens? Have my eye on a pair of tan wingtips from Shoemart's factory irregulars, but it's burnished tan leather with black edgetrim, and would much rather the edgetrim either be a similar shade, or, preferably, natural edgetrim.

Thoughts on altering the edgetrim oneself?

Check the suede summer shoes thread in MC, maybe around page 10 or so. PM the guy that posted them, he can help out.

Look back through this thread - some people have had success using sandpaper, then clear/natural edge dressing. But that does not help the top of the sole where it will still be black; that would take some insanely careful removal that, really, isn't worth the effort.

Those burnished tans with the black edgetrim (I think it's actually dark brown) look good in that setup. Just get them and wear the hell out of them. When they're up for a resole, natural edgetrim it is.
