Holy Venetian Shoe Cream Batman!!

I picked up a bottle of VSC this week at the Freeport, ME AE outlet. They must have just started carrying it. I've always used Mac Method with my shell footwear and a bit of Renovateur 3-4 times a year. I decided to give VSC a shot and found the results quite impressive.

This was just a quick application of VSC and ~45 seconds of brushing per shoe. I didn't even buff, which is usually the final step in my shoe care regimen.

I just got my first pair of Alden's, sand suede unlined chukka. My question is whether or not you guys would advise using a protector spray on them? I have the Allen Edmonds spray, but I'm not sure how I feel about it, as it made my snuff suede carmina's chocolate colored.

I've used the same product on my suede Aldens without any change in color. I highly recommend application.

I love the new tankers Alcibiades! Looks like you've dumped a nice bunch of shells on ebay over the last few weeks and made room for some very nice new acquisitions. I missed out on your auction for whiskey NST. I will eventually find the right nst one day. Wear those tankers often and in great health my friend!

Yeah, I never wore the NSTs, barely wore the cigar Indy boots. The Leffot naval captoe was an impulse buy that looked good in the store, but placed next to my cigar captoes it really didn't make that much sense as both were rather casual boots. Those all sold quickly and for good prices. I actually wear a good amount of black in fall / winter so those tankers will get a lot of use

After cleaning and polishing several shoes, and after some recent buying/selling activity, I figured I'd throw up my current family picture, organized by style (longwings, NST, plain toe, balmorals, loafers, longwings, casual boots):

Could someone tell me about the black boots, second from the very bottom right? They seem like a plain toe black shell? Very sleek looking boot. Overall, very very impressive collection.

has anyone used Obenauf's LP Boot Preservative on their alden shell boots? does the leather soak it up? im anxious to prep for the weather weather. Also for the leather sole'd boot owners, conditioning leather outsoles with venetian is a great way to keep a lot of the moisture rain/snow from soaking into the leather outsole thus preserving the shape and maintaining the longevity

Lovely picture of a job well done. I spent an hour this morning doing the same while the kids commandeered the living room for Saturday morning cartoons.

Great shine on these. Question, and sorry, don't mean to single you out Patrick. Why is your right boot twisting like that? Do you use shoe trees? My snuff chukkas seem to do the same and I keep trees in them.
