I dont know her name but found the pic here:

the comments section includs a link to an article which helps explain why this photo can look so intriguing (besides the obvious, of course)

Thanks, NAMOR. I confirmed my suspicion that it was an editor or something for a fashion magazine. Now that I see her name of course I remember. Zana Roberts. My wife is obsessed with fashion and something fashion related is typically on our TV. Although I would have never guessed her name from memory, I knew who she was.

Thanks. Now I can sleep.

Back to shoes. Carry on...

THat is an interesting story. What boot was it?

These pebble grain wing-tips originally owned by our own sazon.
Sold them and bought a similar pair of ravello shell cordovan wingtip boots.
But really missed the burgundy tones and texture.
The guy I sold them to listed them on ebay and was nice enough to sell them back to me.
Generally they work better with my outfits.
In all the rare shell fetishization I think people forget that lighter & orange tones are more difficult to use.

Stunning makeup. Is this a new style toe medallion? I don't recall having seen this style before.

Thank you ! I don't think its new. I remember seeing it previously.

Sazon, nice pick up. The boots look perfect.

Thank you!

Impressive as always Sazon. Again, a slight nod to the boots but don't sleep on the socks. They're working as well. Nice combination.

Appreciate that !

Good to see my babies being well taken care of ! Those were a great make-up. I missed the pebble grain so much I ended up buying LeatherSoul's alpine boot!

Thats awesome meso. I once bought back a pair of Grant lasted black shell boots on ebay after it had travelled 12,000, having criss-crossed the country 5 times. I had originally purchased the boot from another SF'er who first bought it off the seconds list from the shoe mart. The boots didnt fit him properly so I was glad to take them off of his hands. Shortly thereafter, the back seam busted and the original owner was nice enough to allow me to send them back to him so that he could ship them to the TSM for service. TSM then ships them to Alden for repair and returns to TSM. From TSM to original owner in DC. From DC to me in Cali. Well Alden botched the repair and the seam came undone jsut days later. At that point, Alden offered a refund and back to Alden they went, regretfully. A couple months later they pop up on eBay from a seller in Georgia. Bought them for a solid price and had a local cobbler repair the back seam with a piece of black shell sourced from Meermin's Argentinian shell tannery. Ive since criss-crossed the globe a couple of times, each time with the Grant boot. Versatile and stylish enough for the streets of Paris, yet rugged enough to climb Machu Pichu and back down again. Im glad to have the boot back

ranking the black boots: tough call, but I think the Captoe edges out the NST by a nose just due to versatility

1. Leffot's Captoe Naval
2. Context Tanker
3. Indy

Thanks man. Did you also get the 4060? The black has all but nearly chipped off the eyelets and the sole is getting close to requiring a resole. I don't wear that boot with dressy trousers anymore so I think the contrasting eyelets offer a nice juxtaposition to the jet black shell
