Have you considered purchasing and then changing out the soles?

I have. bought at current exchange rate, they'd be $800 + shipping + shipping to B.Nelson for a sole change out.

too much blood for me..

seems frans loves the crepe.. They have three pair that I'd buy right now, had they not been fitted on crepe

My new Cigar Indys from TSM. Please excuse the poor photo, the large dark square blotch is the shadow from my cell phone.
Great looking boots. I hope they don't go for sale online soon, I'm trying to hold out for plaza cigar boots. I know pipe dreamssss.

Unless you are willing to mask it with Saphir shell cordovan cream in color "cordovan", it is probably there to stay.

Thanks, sftg. Baffles me as to what caused it. I will have to ruminate on this.

i agree with the comments from my nephew. my recommendation is leave them alone, enjoy wearing the boots and use method to care for the shoes

Thanks uncle. Words of wisdom as usual, since the spot isn't that noticeable irl as in the pics. I just need to chill and not let it bother me. As you say, they're not rembrandts.

High praise coming from one of my Alden idols! (absolutely love that ravello Indy on the plaza; thought your whiskey one was nice, this one's even better)

Thanks rtp. One of the "suits" from work noticed and commented on my boots today. I thanked him and was relieved he didn't ask me where he could find a pair.

Epaulet just got a restock of both the Innsbruck Indy (fantastic makeup) and the Salzburger Shortwing.

This could be the best indy I've ever seen. Everything you'd want on this boot.

Check out that Alpine Grain.

Take them to a good cobbler. He'll strip them down. Sometimes repeated powder soaks up the oil. If you go to the right people, those boots can be fixed.
