Great looking longwings. Having also gotten my first Alden x Leffot offering this week I think you'll really like them. Love the double water lock soles.

I've got to get off of this site before I end up in the poor house. Every time I see a pic like this, I go shopping. These are really slick. Congratulations.

bureau of belfast updated their whiskey lwb photos, seems more inline with the color typically, less ravello like the old pic.

still hemming and hawing, as they have my size.

What do you think of the Gustin? I am intrigued by them
I've never been a jean person, khakis are more me, but I've three pair of their jeans and am very pleased with them. Just bought a shirt and have a belt on the way. Guess you could say I'm quite pleased. If you'r interested pm me, if I recommend you you get a $20 break.

I tried to contact GCBROWN3...
a valued member of this forum. I wanted to thank him for a pair of shoes that I had purchased from him not long ago. He was a great seller and a good guy. I went to write him a PM and saw that he was banned. I went into my Paypal to get his email address and I sent him an email asking him why he was banned.

He told me that StyleForum had cited a number of different issues when the kicked him off, but that they never actually told him he was banned. They asked him to correct a few things, he corrected those things and then, The powers that be decided to kick him off.

This is a free forum and not a paid club and I feel that any member should be allowed to share as provided under the 1st amendment. Regardless after contacting gcbrowm3, he sent me the emails that Style Forum sent him and here is my summary of his offenses as outlined by Style Forum's emails. If they want to kick me off for highlighting these offenses and how wrong I think they are, I want all of the members in this forum to be witness. I think that gcbrown3 was unjustly kicked off StyleForum and that our forum will be a lesser place without him. Anyway, his offenses which got him kicked off.

1) When he listed items, he wrote that he added 3% to cover Paypal charges. Although there is no rule expressly outlining this, the Style Forum administrators wrote him and asked him to please remove this 3% cost from all listings including closed listings. Gcbrown3 made these changes immediately. Upon making these changes, he contacted the administrators to inform them of such

2) Gcbrown3's brother wanted to list a pair of Alden's under Gcbrown3's username. Gcbrown3 felt very strongly about the products that he took care of and the items that he sold and he refused to allow his brother to list a pair of shoes under his username. Instead, gcbrown3 set up a member profile for his brother and helpd his brother list a pair of shoes. In an effort to help his brother out, gcbrown3 took an action which he admitted was wrong, but one which is commonly made and does not rise to the level of being an offense for which a positive contributor should be banned. Gcbrown3 made a post which drew this community's attention to his brother's listing.

These were the only two offenses. Gcbrown3 amended his listings and apologized, even telling the a style forum administrators that they could delete his brother's profile. He explained that he used Style Forum more to read about and learn than to write and sell items. He pleaded with Style Forum to review his positive contributions and how they heavily outweighed a 3% Paypal fee (which wasn't even outlined as wrong) and his wrongful advertising within the forum on behalf of his brother's listing. He explained that he had made a mistake and apologized. Style Forum informed him that he had been using Style Forum and taking advantage of Style Forum and that if he wanted to be read otter, he would have to send them a check in the amount of $500???????

I went pack and reviewed his posts and he was constantly posting helpful suggestions on care and sizing and he was the king of the selfless PSA. He told us about the Ludlow Ravello LWB, the Shoe Mart Ravello Chukka, The Alden Carmel Cigar LWB, The Leffot Cigar Atom Short wing and that's just the ones that I can find

He is still in the process of getting Carmina to make a dream shoe/grail boot/ Thor boot for a bunch of us and getting nothing in return for his efforts. He actually sent them two pairs of boots for them to study and he's doing it because like us, he loves Aldens.

When I wrote gcbrown3, he informed me that 98% of his time was spent in the Alden Thread and that he was a very reliable seller, who always sold top quality items and made sure that his products were well kept and shipped immediately.

I am pleading with the members of this forum to contact the admins and plead on behalf of GCBROWN3. To make GCBROWN3 to pay $500 for two offenses which he either corrected or quickly apologized for is egregious and wrong. Gcbrown3 has only been a member for 7-8 months and this forum won't be the same without him.

If gcbrown3 is targeted and kicked off of Style Forum for one offense which isn't really outlined as wrong (charging 3% and outlining that these charges were including expressly within his classified) and the other, his first offense, simply being his promotion of his brother's marketplace sale,; what comes next, they claim that he was operating two usernames because his brother, who is staying at his house, was using his computer and his home's Internet. I've read Style Forum's admins condemnation of gcbrown3 and it seems completely outlandish and fascist. To charge a guy $500 to reinstate his username after two small offenses and 70+ positive contributions, 98% of which were made on this forum is wrong.

Please write Style Forum and let them know that this kangaroo court justice is wrong and egregious; especially for a first time offender who has sold 5-7 items to satisfied buyers and had bent over backwards for this forum. We need to stick together, gcbrown3 always took time out to help us. We need to take a moment and let style forum know that this condemnation of a first time offender is absolutely wrong; especially when that "offender" spends the majority of his time helpings others on this thread.

In my experience,
Message Board / Forum politics in general (not just limited to styleforum) are very peculiar.  I've seen stuff like this happen before on other non-clothing related sites.  Since SF pays for their domain, it is my understanding that it is their right to censor its content / moderate the site however they please.  (I'm not a legal expert)

However, I would also like to second that GCBrown was an upstanding and contributing memeber of the community, basically for the reasons that have already been listed.  (Never actually bought anything from him, but communicated with him a bit over PM.)

I hope that all ends well with GCB, and that regardless of the outcome, may he continue to wear in good health.

FWIW, B/S rules have been amended and clearly state for some time now that any references to covering that 3% fee is strictly against policy. Apparently SF got in legal trouble w/ paypal for "allowing" that members circumvent the paypal fee system. To avoid financial penalty themselves, they pass this responsibility on to their members. If people break this rule without reading it, they're still liable, just as anyone anywhere is liable for rules they don't necessarily know about. That's why being an informed part of the forum is important.

Also as a private forum, the admins can kick off anyone they want, regardless of "1st amendment rights," for whatever reason they desire. They are the admins and retain that right by providing all of us with this space.

While I don't envy Gcbrown3s position, I can understand why it happened.

Just wanted to make some of this clear.
