I think it can work well however it depends a bit on the shape if your foot. Is the 10D a better fit in length or width? If it is already on the wider side than going out to an E, even on the smaller length, may not work for you. This will be true especially in the heel as it may feel quite loose to you. Worth a try and seeing how it works for you.
Gentlemen, what is your general experience with going minus half-size length, plus one size width in the Barrie, e.g. 10D vs 9.5E?
