It looks like they've finally figured out what to do with those shell samples and scraps. I knew it was just a matter of time. This looks like one of the biggest wastes of money I've seen around here in a while.

Watch the little video... all they are doing is "wrapping" the money and credit cards with the cordovan that's been cut into a 'T' shape.

These things are usually sold out as well. Leffot has been selling these "Fold" wallets for some time now. I actually like te concept and could see myself using one in place of my money clip but it's not worth $95 to me. I think I could buy a piece of shell and make my own for that price.

The BB LHS and factory LHS are each on the VAN last. I'm positive of it.

I own them both, and the unlined BB version is definitely more snug.

Never truer words spoken. Both are Van Lasted. The only Copley LHS I've seen is Union's Chromexl.

I have used a fold for the past couple of years. They sell pretty briskly. I wanted to switch to a slim front wallet and figured this was a good way to transition. I'm not wedded to them, though, I could see myself getting a different kind of wallet soon.

Strange that's I've somehow missed them then. Glad you both enjoy them. I suppose it's proof that you should always give it a shot when you come up with an idea or invention, no matter how simple it seems.

I thought that Alden had raised their retail prices??

Haven't bought a pair in a while, but my last pair was $780 when all was said and done and I had free delivery.

Sierra Trading Post usually has Tricker's Burfords for around $350 if you wait for a coupon.
They're on the 4497 last which is the same as used on the Stow. For reasons unclear to me, they have a warning that they Burfords run small.
Take anything you read on an STP description with a huge grain of salt.
STP return shipping is pretty cheap.

They also have a Stow lookalike called the Langston. They're *not* on the 4497. I think they're on the 2298 which is a more TTS last.

Grahame Fowler in NYC carries Tricker's. Haberdash in Chicago too.
And of course Leather Soul.

Great info, thank you!

Does anyone know if Aldens ever go on sale at
Shoe Mart?
The only sale I've seen is on the irregular list. I did see a black pair of NST slip on's go on sale when they had 1 pair left which I got, but it was no smoking hot deal. I have seen a few Alden dealers who moved away from Alden due to availability issues close them out, but in most cases Alden product is so scarce it makes no sense to put it on sale. The only exceptions I've seen has been J Crew, and Brooks Brothers sales but nothing from TSM.

See Ya,
Steve
