Hi Folks, I just got this pair with a bunch of Alden caring products yesterday. And I've been trying to search and found out the shoe cream is not recommended for shell cordovan. What about Alden Fine Boot Cream Dark Burgundy? Has anyone ever use this cream with your shoes? Thanks for any advise.

DO NOT use any cream on shell cordovan unless it says it is specifically for shell cordovan . Search shell cordovan care all shall be revealed

I was always curious about how Bureau advertises their pricing (as i've never ordered from them, or anywhere, using that currency)

is the price listed before a 20% reduction for being in a country that doesn't gather VAT?

I saw the size 11.5 second #8 Indy on the Barrie / leather outsole at The Shoe Mart today...very nice. Snag these quick...ask for Bob. They also had a size 12 unlined LHS in #8, and a few 11-12 #8 and black PTBs

That's one of only a few suede boot models I would consider.

Factory seconds unlined PTB's arrived and I found the flaw. It's on the inside of the left shoe .. I haven't taken it out to see it in natural light, but I don't think it's terrible. However, I'm not sure what this stain will look like as the color begins to lighten from exposure.

Any thoughts before I commit to keeping them?

Price listed is without VAT in GBP so you'll be paying about US$435 for those ranger mocs.
With shipping they're going to be about as much as what you'd pay here. Assuming "here" is the USA.

The Bureau is a good place to buy stuff. I've never had to pay duties/brokerage fees on anything from them when they ship fedex.

nothing in my size worth buying, even at the discounted price..

now if those whiskey LWB had been discounted, I'd have succumbed to whiskey even tho im not a fan of the color

Here are the #8 LWBs from the seconds list - see the dark spot in on the top of the shoe - thoughts?

I could not see the spot in the top picture after looking. I see it in the bottom close-up. Real close-up. I then returned to the top picture and, even knowing where to look, I cannot see the spot. In other words, you got a $245 discount with a defect that is difficult to see above 3 inches.

As others have written, shoes aren't Rembrandts. Those shoes look great, and you got them at a great price. If the shoes fit, wear them!

thanks all for the thoughts on the lwb seconds - i ordered them because I think the will be great shoes to wear frequently. i'm glad i finally had some luck with the seconds!
