Hard to believe this guy scooped up multiple pairs of Leffot's Daytrippers. European vendor sounds more plausible.

Great Saddles! I really like these and the Snuff / #8 mode they do.

Nice boots and happy new year.

Don, those are some terrific samples of Cigar.

Repp, those are looking terrific and that is a good resolution.

Anyone know where they are from? They gotta be recent. I thought I remember seeing them on here.

There was a vendor in Scandanavia who received a shipment of Ravello Cap Toe Boots last Summer. They were all E widths and so I passed on them. I was told that they were on the Plaza last, but they didn't have the squared off toe, so I contacted the vendor and Alden who corrected it and said they were on the Aberdeen Last.

I suspect these are from that batch due to the later Brownvello colors and E widths.

I concur, almost any stockist should have the Unlined Snuff Suede Dover (without agatyne eyelets) in stock and particularly in a standard size like 8D. Worst case if it does not exist, you should be able to get it as an "add to run" and it will be in your hands in about 20 weeks or so.

How do buyers and sellers justify these prices? Does the market even support this type of secondary mark up? If a buyer is located outside of the U.S., he could easily find a proxy for far less money.

They aren't discontinued styles or shell colors. The mark up seems pie in the sky to me. Perhaps you just need a few desperate/dumb money buyers.

Thanks Mike, this sounds the most plausible.

AoC has had both black and color 8 shell LWBs on commando for a while.

The guy on eBay is quite adamant that they are not Grant. (Not that people haven't lied before)

That's why it peeked my interest.

I don't mean to imply that it is intentional deception.  If I had a dollar for everytime someone published incorrect information (i.e. last) about a listing, I'd own several pairs of ravello boots!  :)(I actually only own one)

The one that looks like Plaza also has leather sole vs. Leffot Daytripper has single watercolor sole.

Anyone know for certain what the inside lining is made of? Specifically the part that is color 8. I would assume (from the looks) that it is calf, but figured is ask.

I kind of wish they would use shell there.

Any indications on the price increase this year? Normal $25?

Commodities are falling. I call for a price decrease!

Need laces?

I just got replacement boot laces from a British maker via Amazon and they're good. They're not exactly like Alden's laces - they're thicker and not quite as waxy or flat. But the upside is they seem to be tougher. I'd be surprised if these things break in the next five years, or even ten. Anyway, just FYI if you break your flat boot laces. Bonus: they have lots of colors.

My original Alden lace is on the left. Both are navy blue.
