started with nike dunk sb and air max, then graduated to more grown up footwear. my girlfriend doesnt mind, as I still get her things for her hobbies/likes.. luckily she isnt really into high end womens shoes

Exotic shell will be north of $800 judging by past increases. This puts it over $1K canadian with shipping and duties! censored.gif

Never cared about shoes until:

I was on a plane a few years ago and saw a side profile of j.crew's 403. I hadn't seen anything that boss before, so I started searching the interwebs. Found this terrible place, along with ask andy and superfuture. I actually have regrets spending the money I have on shoes since then if I were to add it all up. But now I'm settling into a sweet spot, and have slowed down considerably. Alden just makes so many cool shoes and boots - honestly better looking than any maker imo. The Indy makeups alone are astonishingly good, nevermind the rare shell offerings that bounce around this thread. But as I look in my closet, I see amazing shoes I haven't worn since last May - ha! And these shoes would probably not need a resole if I wore them daily for two years (I don't walk concrete in a city). That is almost a shame, as I know they would look better worn in. And I work in a place where NOT ONE other man wears nice shoes. Not one. My goodness, even the work boot wearers choose Timberland (Red Wing? Thorogood? Chippewa? Better yet Whites/Wesco/Nick's?).

I digress.

I can relate. At my annual sales meeting, there are 300-400 people in attendance. As far as I can tell, there is a single guy who is interested in good, welted footwear (Alden, Carmina, etc.). We were in Barcelona together for a meeting years ago and started chatting about our similar interests. I see him a couple times a year and we wade through the sea of square toed shoes and Eccos at our meetings. I sometimes wonder if perhaps I'm the crazy one?

Very nice shoes dubs. Blue suede is underrated. The lhs combo is perfect.

I use my #8 shell Indy for with commando sole as a 'beater' boot. I also have the Red Wing Iron Ranger for when I'm really doing hiking or doing yard work usually.

Looking to see if there is anyone who might be interested in trading a BNIB pair of Cigar LWB for a pair of BNIB Whiskey LWB. Have a pair in 8.5D from Alden SanFrancisco in the closet and would really prefer the darker color...

If not anyone know if there are any active Cigar runs going on for LWB...

Thanks...
