Thanks!  The pics of the Cigars and AE's were from using the Beck polisher.  Did the standard damp rag rubdown, followed by brushing, then buffed with the Beck.  I'm pleased with the shine.

Would like to know how they fit compared to Grant last. Trubalance seems to fit better than Grant or Barrie for me. But then again these are CXL so they will be more roomy eventually. They look outstanding btw. Congratulations!

Nice shine on both. Pristine looking. Do you have any 'before' pics?

I have the same shoes now and have received more compliments than I ever have.  They are simple and classic and comfortable and we have excellent taste!

You have inspired me to consider some jazzier socks...

Nice shine on your boots and shoes!

I've used the Beck shoe polisher before.  Great for buffing, but the pieces are not horse hair and I get nervous placing my shell shoes under a machine like this.  When the brush hairs wear down, be careful not to scrape up your shoes.  I've tried to find a horse-hair replacement piece but had no luck.

Great gift!

Trubalance has a significantly wider toebox than both barrie and moreso grant. For those with a wider forefoot, lower instep and narrower heel, trubalance (and modified) are a godsend. Here are j.crew PTboots:

Also, AoC has the AF43 and 53 (just scored the 43 on ebay) which are fantastic. I plan on replicating my long gone Pitt boot with the trubalance last, and am psyched.

I love crepe and ordered the BB boots a few months ago but simply got tired of waiting. It is a great looking boot and at 15% off, I think you got a great boot. Looking forward to pic's. Congrats.

Happy Friday! Unlined Whiskey.

I like the effect the sunrise had on the Whiskey today.
