They have my preferred E width, but I'm a bit concerned the wider size will throw off the proportions of the apron. Still, green suede tanker? Mmmmmm.

Unipair makeup is great if you are a fan of Loden suede. Never handled E width boots but I understand where you coming from regarding proportions.

RTP-Remember the Alamo! That fight started over brisket tacos! General Santa Ana said he was gonna Pork us Texans up and we said we had a Beef with him too! Eventually we "Booted" his ass out of Texas!

Happy weekend before Christmas to all and remember....we raise cattle in Texas. Beef that's what's for dinner! In Texas Brisket is King! nod[1].gif

It's great for me. I don't eat pork so I'm all about the brisket. The other great thing about Salt Lick was that they had beef ribs. You'd be surprised how hard it is to get them at most BBQ places.

I think that's because most would prefer a well prepared brisket to the beef rib.

All of my Alden shoes and boots are E width. Check out my tanker photos for reference. Proportions look fine.

The only E width boot I have owned that I thought looked weird were some color 8 captoe boots on the plaza last (the boots almost had a rectangular look)

the pictures that I recently posted of my suede tankers are of E width. The proportions are perfectly fine. Take a look.

I wait all summer for cool weather so I can start wearing boots again. I love this time of year...snow and all.

I've lurked this thread for awhile and, while my Alden stable is nowhere near as impressive as most here, I am rather happy with these newbies:

Cigar shell PTB on waterlock soles

The best part, though, was the following reaction when I dropped them off to have heel plates added by the local shoe repair place:

"Hey, look at those. They look great. What are they?"

"Aldens."

"Aldens? I've always heard about them but never seen them!"

The repair guy then grabbed my shoes, ran back to the workbench, and lifted them up,

"Guys! Check it out! Aldens!"

Apparently this is a rare siting in Denver.

When I moved into Boston (ca. 95 or so), I came across Color 8 LWB's at the Tannery. The SA's kept telling me they were orthopedic shoes, not suitable for standard feet, daily wear, business attire, etc. I wish I could remember what they tried to sell me instead. Tannery's never been known for customer service but this is pretty funny given the brand's popularity today.

Don't think the E width would make that big of an appearance change...
