Which two would you sell if forced - you must keep one black pair

This is difficult. I'd sell #8 wingtip and black captoe.

I'd sell:

Black cordovan tanker boot on commando

Day tripper boot in ravello (double flex sole, grant)

I love ravello but I find myself reaching for Cigar, Black, and #8 more than Ravello personally.

That's a tough choice and the best choice might be to not sell any of them :D

Sell:

Black cordovan tanker boot on commando
Color 8 wingtip boot on commando

You can pick these up again more easily than the others, if so inclined in the future.

P.S. - I do not particularly care for the Indy or Tanker style in most cases, but I figure a Cigar Tanker is hard to come by, so you should definitely think twice about selling it.

My guess is because asian usually has wider foot and higher arch. E width is gonna accommodate more customers since they are located in South Korea.

I actually suspect Kathy may have made them for me, but heard I got a different pair (I bought the 9.5D that I am now trying to sell), and so she sold them to someone else, who beat them up pretty good and then decided they didn't like the fit and so they offloaded them. I figured they would make good beaters. This is actually how they look after I did quite a bit to clean them up. I wasn't sure if we were going to get pounded today with rain like Northern California did, so I wore them as a contingency. Plus I needed to get them out. So thats their story. :-)

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Oh...that's the one you shined the other day! You did shine them really well, aside from the scratch, they look really new. I'm sure they will look even more dubs' after the restoration!

Thanks.  I googled the name and found his store.  Sucks that overseas gets some cool makeups that end up costing as much or more than a shell model does from a stateside store :(  He's got several cool pair on his site that I'd love to have!

We are an asian alden retailer so our initial costs for Alden are higher but we do take out %10 VAT and with the currency exchange right now it doesn't hurt so much.  We stock E widths a lot because asian feet tend to be shorter but wider than caucasian feet.  We are very happy to hear you guys like our models.  We try and stock both classics and get creative with others.  I think the green came out great and will probably get it for myself. ;)

Just wondering how chromexcel - without any pre-treatment, like Obenauf's, etc - would be in the rain and getting really wet?? Anything I need to be concerned about?? I did rub two coats of Obenauf's LP into the welt to darken it, but I'd rather not actually put anything on the chromexcel if possible, since I like it the way it is. Thanks in advance!

I was in SF for the storm yesterday and wore exactly those boots. Entirely untreated. Perfect boot for the conditions.

I'd love to see a pic of the darkened welt.

A much better look at my Alden x Anatomica 6 eyelet Chukka in Chocolate Suede and Benjos laces.

The deed is done. Ordered the Leffot captoes. So I should have those and the TSM short wings arriving next week. Also have a pair of Churchs Sahara chukkas coming in. There goes my shoe budget for the next 12 months.

I'm thinking of darkening the natural welt on some boots so would love to see pics as well.
