After much trial and error I finally found a pair of jeans I liked and it was the Telllason "Ankara" jeans in the 16.5 oz. Awesome stuff.

Is it just me or is blucher > bal every day of the week? Personal preference, but I feel like that's Alden's look. Bals make me think Carmina, EG or even AE's. I know that's probably just me.

In casual whiskey, the blucher looks much better IMO. Alden's black and color 8 wingtip bals are nice, though. The black and color 8 captoe bals are also excellent for work.

I got my 2nd pair today, this time from Alden DC.  I'm not a super picky guy when it comes to shell cordovan, I understand there's going to be variance and flaws.  I like some different shading on LWB, or cap toes.

Here's the photo of the pair I got today.  The left and right shoes are different shades of whiskey, and it appears a different shade for the entire shoe.  Either shade separately is fine, but together it stands out to me.  No doubt over time they will become closer.  My question is this something I should expect on 1st quality?  Am I just unlucky?  It's only been an issue on the whiskey PTB, no problem on my other whiskey make ups.  I'm certain I can send these back, I? want to know would you roll with this or wait for a better pair?

Seeking feedback.

See Ya,
Steve

Looks like I'm not the only one with a first wearing! Nice boots @Resistant

Those look great, I'm wearing king today as well. I just got back from visiting some family in St. Pete!

Absolutely agree.  I bought the shortwing bluchers on commando (barrie) for more of an all-purpose casual shoe.  They look so much sleeker and dressier with the flat welt, I save them for more dressy occasions in cold/wet weather.  The commando doesn't make much sense with this make up, but I still love these guys!

Just happen to be wearing today!  Sorry for the crappy i-phone pics; lighting wasn't great...

Yup! Havent worn them for a few weeks as have been wearing some EP pants and Full Count Denim. I sometimes forgot how amazing they are until I put them on and am quickly reminded. They are about to hit the 1 year mark so they are due for a soak

I still have those Somets bookmarked haha, might pull the trigger in the new year. How would you size in those things compared to say a Rivet Chino size 33?
