I'm really on the fence about whether to return them or not because I've been waiting to get some Natty CXL. I'm not sure how much it bothers me now, but just worried if I keep it I'll just keep noticing the stripe. What would you guys do?

For $ 175.00 more for firsts you may get another pair with or with out that... so it depends if that is worth it to you.

same here.....I sent back a pair of suede LHS 2nds for the very same reason.....I could brush it and it would be less noticeable......but I could always see it and it bothered me.

Cheers.  You don't have to worry though.  I don't need another pair of Alden's anytime soon, though that hasn't stopped me before.  I tend to prefer the grainier leathers to the majority of this thread anyway.

Wouldn't mind being an 11.5 considering some of the pairs on sale at Epaulet.  Would have liked those oxbloods as well.

+1

Could not agree more. My Natty Cxl Indy's look like completely, in the best way possible, different boots than when they first arrived. The Patina will steal the show.

What are you waiting for???

Gentlemen,
Great looking shoes all week.

Many of your posts over the years have inspired me to upgrade my trousers in a big way. My photos tend to look like a bum in crummy khakis or old jeans robbed the Alden factory. So today I was very active online at Epaulet and snagged a few pair of Walts. Still haven't been bit by the raw denim thing, but Epaulet makes a damn fine trouser. Can't wait for them to arrive.

Upgrading my wardrobe slowly from the ground up!

For those with experience with Hampton and Plaza last.

Which is roomier Hampton or Plaza?, also are they roomier or narrower than a Barrie 1/2 size down ?, specifically in the heel cup.

Thanks.
