You guys think it's anything to be concerned about? Anyone have the piping unravel on them?

All of my Aldens do the same thing. I haven't worried about it, yet.

Good to know, I would assume Alden or Nick could fix the piping if needed while the shoes are in for a recraft in the distant future.

These ravellos are looking so incredibly nice.  Feeling bad that I missed the (gun)boat!  Hopefully I'll be in on the next DC run.

LoL. I hear you and the 975 is a classic for a good reason. But I will say that I am yet to find another brand who does edging as beautifully as Aldens antique edging. I think that is one of Alden's distinctions besides from their treatment of their Shell Cordovan.

To paraphrase Jagger, "I see a light welt and I want to paint it black."

I agree with this. Luckily I'll still have my Whiskey LWB and my Leffot Tankers for my light edge fix.

if my cigar longwings did not have antique edges, I could wear them with many more business outfits that I currently do.

Is there such a thing as cigar LWB with dark edges? Don't recall seeing it.

no, my comment was simply to underscore the lack of versatility with this type of edging
