They look good - my concern with doing this is lightening the top of the welt - which I assume is still dark on yours?

Whatcha want to know sir? I am on the Leffot Daytrippers, but I did talk to Kathy about these recently. I think she was expecting a November ship date. Other than that, it should mirror her 4060HC. Do you know if she did tan "antique" edges or darker edges like they do on the PTB and used to do on the LWB?

I believe Ed was making 24 pairs. But not 100% certain.

Thanks Mike. Just wondering about timing as the last I'd heard, delivery was thought to be in October. I was under the impression they would have antique edges but I no longer recall what led me to think that.

I got around it a little but like you said was afraid to sand the shell so it's a little darker still

I'm hoping someone will answer this question as well...

I know she submitted the next run but don't know if it has been confirmed yet. I will find out mañana as I need to be spacing these purchases out some.

My pair is what I believe is a fairly common size, 9.5D.

I think the formula for successful auctions is

--cleaned up shoes (duh)

--very good photographs that show full coverage (even if new/like new)

and....

--a bullet list of the essential details: model; size; last; color; stockist, if relevant; age, sizing disclaimer, if necessary; etc,

--leave out the "advertising"--how rare they are, no longer available, what to wear them with, durability of shell, last a lifetime, blah blah blah.  The people you are likely selling to know what they are looking at/for.  You need to sell them not on longwings, but on your particular longwings.

In the end, you want them to speak for themselves by looking good and showing well.  I see a lot of auctions with a minimal number of shitty photos.

If you have had no luck with decent photos, I'm not sure what to say.  Do you do auctions or Buy It Now?

Agreed.

The first two are paramount.
