I'm number 6 on the list for 9D.

Thanks Uncle! Loved your King monks today. Goes to show that the best models are those that are stock and in color 8. True Alden staples.

This is probably a question that no one could answer without knowing my foot, but if I wear a 12D in Barrie, would a 12E in Grant work well?

The general consensus is to go up 1/2 size in length from Barrie.

And keep the same width or is the Grant last narrower?

I got on the 9D list as #4 two weeks ago. I wonder how many they get per run for such a common size.

Same width for me. YMMV.

Same width here too, but half size up from Barrie to Grant, though many refer to Grant as a "tweener" size.  (Tweener is the foot sizing equivalent of a taint.)

My experience with having a wide foot and high instep says "yes," you can do that. It depends where your arch is on the Barrie. If just before or not entirely centered with the widest part of the last, AND you have a wide foot, then I'd say keeping length the same and going up in width should work.

Bear in mind that a 12.5D and 12E are supposed to have similar volume, but the E feels a hair wider.
