Alden DC LWB. Wasn't really expecting to pick these up but, these were a good decision! Thanks to Joe and Kathy.

They are the lighter edge trim (med tan), not quite antique. I feel like antique looks best on King and Cigar, anyway. I do like mdubs black trim Ravello's! I don't think this will be the last Ravello LWB I buy, haha.

After reading all the good things about the good people at Alden DC, I was really looking forward to an opportunity to deal with them.  This week, I had the pleasure of speaking with Joe, who was very helpful in fielding some sizing questions, and took time to explain supply fluctuations, their (Kathy's) ordering process, etc.  Knowing how busy they must be, I totally appreciate when people aren't rushing to get off the phone.  So I am psyched to now be on the list for the cigar CT boots......Now if only those dang naval boots would arrive.  Leaves are starting to turn already!

Just curious, for California residents getting shoes form Alden DC, do they charge tax?

They should, since Alden has a California store. That's the rule.

Real well worn patina.

Rain in the forecast today means some wet weather gear.

Strapped on my Alpine Grain NST Commando for the rain today - had I realized how much rain when I left probably would have went with my AE Longbranch's..I have to say that I was highly annoyed when the first rain drop hit them and made a deep brown spot while most of the rest just beaded off....Have dried perfectly so happy camper. Still wish the commando sole covered the whole bottom though,

I feel the pain of those awaiting for the color #8 Naval boots. October will be a busy month for the UPS man in my neck of the woods.

Bought these on ebay recently, was wondering if anyone knows where they came from.  Not exactly my size but close...9.5D.  It's basically the tobacco oiled nubuck one but in dark grey (darker than it looks in the pics).

It's supposedly from the cape cod collection but i cant find any record of it being sold anywhere.  The serial number is 94338.
