@thams   those are beautiful....and I am completely indifferent to most brown shell colors most of the time.

Very nice.  That's the DC model? How old?  I have cigar LHS, but I need to get into a boot, so I'm putting it on my list for 2015...

The shoes look great.

I just moved to Texas and bought a new house. My priority is to try and pay this mortgage off in about 10 years or so and after that I can buy whatever I want. Until then I'm trying to avoid any temptations that might cause me to spend money.

I wear suede in the rain all the time. Not so sure about snow because then you get salt and all the dirt and grime that gets on the snow after it's been out there a day or two. I'd be more worried about trying to get that cleaned off than the water from the rain/snow. I've always used the AE waterproofer as soon as I receive a pair of suede shoes.

Well, Texas is so hot, that you won't need to wear shell  ...maybe January would work.

Thank you!  I'm taken with the color -- a nice medium to chocolate brown depending upon the light.  Excited to see them age!

Thanks!  Yes, it's the DC model.  It was from the most recent batch so they're only a few months old (from late April I think).

Definitely appreciate the insight. BTW, nice pick on the Leffot longwings. I've been eyeing them for a long time and was slow on the pre-sale. Congrats.

I've been thinking about adding a little Natural CXL to my lineup, what do you guys think?

I wish I could find a natty PTB with a commando sole as I have quite a few boots, but these seem awesome:

Love the soles on these and the last with my Indys:

Unionmade had a Natty NST boot, I do not recall if the sole was leather or mini lug. They sent to me by mistake and it was not on their website at the time...If you are interested AE just released the Longbranch boot in CXL with full lug bottom..I am wearing the Longbranch waxy brown leather as it was raining here today. Great all bad weather boot and would choose this over any half lugged commando or mini lug boot in a second for poor weather conditions.

Vicious, are those the Tobacco Chamois on Commando from Leffot?

I agree with Sazon, it feels a tad more supple than my other Alden calf. I happen to be wearing mine today:

These look great. Where / when were they purchased?
