They're both great boots. If I had to choose, I'd choose Plaza.

The ShoeMart makes several NSTs on the Aberdeen Last. Most notably the Ravello Boot and Shoe are both.

Ravello PTB's today. These are the mismatched pair from TSM, and I'm happy to say that after some time of alternating each of them on a window sill in direct sunlight they are getting very close together in shade... Not 100% but very close. So close in fact that I doubt anyone outside of the SF community would ever notice. I really like these.

Great looking PTBs! I just got my pair of Ravello PTBs on Friday-- wear yours in the best of health!

Maybe Ben Silver can send some additonal pics for you.

If you get the boot, please post some pics smile.gif

Hey Duck. Just one more quick question, hope you don't mind. This trunk show - was it Ben Silver specific or just for Alden? I'm trying to figure out if these are Ben Silver exclusives or not. They don't have any other photos available, according to the SA, and I'd like to see more before buying. 360 degree welt and "tan" stitching on the moc toe is what I've been told.

Thanks much!!

BB is generally pathetically ignorant about the lasts of their shoes. If you know it's a TB, then just order the size you'd normally wear in that last. BB does have a good return policy.

NP what whale.. wish i knew more. It was a Alden trunk show in Va, if i recall it had 360 welt (but not 100% sure). I think i saw the boot online somewhere else. If I find it again I'll PM it to you. Good luck in the search

Too late to wear this year, but looking forward to spring with these.......I have not seen milkshake suede in person before, but it is a great color.....also, like the red brick sole which is very light and should be comfy to wear.....I ordered in 2 sizes and the larger will be going on the marketplace as they definitely run big.

Cool, thanks. This at least makes me think it's not a BS exclusive. Just weird no other pics are available anywhere online. Love the idea of the boot; hoping the utica leather confirms that. Cheers mate.

Definitely appreciate the PSA. I know crepe doesn't get much love here and the sentiments have been especially strong over the past few days,  but I love what Alden does with crepe.  I've also been bitten by the suede bug so when you factor in the 25% discount, it was too much to pass up. No tax on shoes in Pa and shop runner free 2-day shipping makes my total cost $411.  I have the same concern with size as the SA couldn't provide any insight beyond TTS.

Again, thanks.

Wait, did you order TTS?  I would not do so, regardless of what they might say (I'd probably do the opposite of what they say).  Might be worth ordering the other boot too and just returning the one that doesn't work.

^^Shawn, I'm glad you got in on the sale! I got both sizes just in case and will keep the one that fits better - probably my normal TB size. Return shipping is free too. This must be a new makeup for BB since all sizes are due to ship on 9/15. Will be wearing these around a lot this fall! biggrin.gif
