Ugh. Really really want to keep these LWBs. It's a closer fit than I thought but there's a solid amount of heel slippage brand new. Would heel slippage increase or decrease over time with she'll? Thanks!

If there's a decent heel slip, I would take them back. :-(

slightly decrease. But if the heel is too wide than obviously that is not going to change.

A little is normal or I should say not uncommon at first until the foot bed settles, but im not sure where a little turns in to "too much".

My heels slip a little depending on what socks I wear with my shell LWB. The heels are just really wide. And since I already have them and have no plans to add any others, it is not enough for me to justify re-sizing.

Had to do a double take that this was actually Mac posting.

My favorite rule of thumb is whether as you take a step, which occurs first: Does your heel completely stop touching the shoe, or does the shoe start to flex and the rear lift off the ground. If you take a step and the shoe comes up and *then* your heel stops touching the shoe, it will very likely break in so that the slip goes away. If your heel leaves contact with the shoe (a little lightening of pressure is fine, but losing all contact is bad) first, then the shoe isn't the right fit for you.

Thanks for the info/advice. I'll play around with them tonight/tomorrow. Really bummed out, they're essentially flawless and I looooove the antique edging.
