I wouldn't stress until you get them.

Great looking suede gentlemen.
Is anyone else SUPER careful when they drive wearing light color suede? I scuffed a pair of boots once w a parking break pedal.

Thanks for the heads-up. I think they're sweet and just ordered a pair. i'm assuming they're on Barrie, but unlike past descriptions they don't specify on this one.

Curious to know, those of you who've purchased light suede in the past, any regrets? (Re: aesthetic durability)

Given the sole shot I'm guessing trubalance

I am not. At the end of the day they are just shoes/boots. biggrin.gif

I like the glib remark but at the end of the day I don't wear a lot of Suede because of this very factor. Shell and calf the rubber is easily removed with Reno. Suede is just fucked if you get the rubber marks. I drive a six speed clutch ... It happens .. A lot. My 2 cents.. Now if your driving the Soccer Mom Van with an automatic, your good to go with the Gucci Suede. happy.gif

This is why people wear driving shoes. Rubber nubs or full sole tread on the heel and sometimes on toe can help...

I would agree.

I called J Crew this morning to get the last info. The poor woman I spoke to sounded so confused. When I asked her about the last she hesitated and said "well, these are made in the USA and have leather linings"

When I explained the last concept again she put me on hold. She came back and said that she would have to check with a style specialist and she would get back to me in a few days.

Oh well. In any case, they look pretty sharp. If they were snuff, I'd be on them in a second. I too am worried about the light colored suede.

If by glib you mean insincere or superficial or careless, my remark was not glib. It was an honest answer to a question that solicited a response. Further, suede, like other leathers, can be cleaned with the proper products and techniques.
