Here here! Dug mine out of the closet this morning. Falling in love all over again...

Well, I got a pleasant package in the mail today, from my favorite company... Alden.

So, since I have been buying all these Alden shoe things, I have had to get nicer "non-work" (read not suits) clothing. Correspondingly, they seem to be slimmer and provide less room for the Johnny the Foxes of the world. So, I thought that I would give the Alden card holder a whirl. It is a little different than I expected. It essentially has a card slot on each side (which can fit more than one card) and a bigger slot in the middle, for a small quantity of folded cash I suppose. I am pretty happy with it. Kind of fun to see the Alden crest on something that is not a shoe.

Of course, for those times when I go out and am wearing my Aldies to friends houses, I really hate having to bring a full shoe horn with me, so I thought that I would give the Alden Color #8 Shoe Horn Key Chain a whirl. That way, I don't have to worry about taking my shoes off (well putting them back on more I suppose) when I go out to social events.

Both were purchased from Alden DC...

Why do I picture little Uncle Mac at the Baird School 45-50 years ago?  I'm certain he wasn't a part of that "vessel for sea-going snitches"!  :D

(One of my favorite movies!)

Both pairs look great. Will you be keeping both?

Congrats @batchelor22 .  They are wonderful, and I agree, they will look great for a lifetime. Looking exceptionally well Buda.  I also need to dig mine out of the closet soon.  Fall/winter will be upon us soon enough.

I like how you have accessorized @mdubs!!

Looks good Jedi.

Speaking of Whiskey, anyone notice that Saphir now sells a Whiskey Cordovan Cream? (It's possible they have for months, I don't exactly check for it every day).

Not a fan.. I love your fine collection but these leave me blah ... This leather looks best on Cowboy Style Boots to me. It wrinkles too much and I just don't get the look with any Ivy styled shoe be it LWB or otherwise. Then again I don't get the Indy look either. Old dude here I guess. Your collection is the best I've seen here.. Cull Chrome is my take. I don't even like the LHS in this leather. Not pleasing t o the eye, or at least my eye. Sorry hope I didn't upset any Chromexl fans...

Been around at least for a few months now. Picked some up for my Whiskey LHS but have yet to use it.

What do you suggest I use on Ravello?

@chipshot I disagree. This is a great boot

I just use neutral for all my shoes.

I don't like to use it all that often, so I don't see a need for 16 colors. I prefer to just brush and buff.
