Looks as if you are definitely enjoying these. Beauties. Is the inner panel on the left boot still lighter

Yeah, but they're amazing. Symmetry is overrated.

In a thread full of OCD people stressing about dime-sized semi-discolorations, sir, I applaud you.:slayer:

Ordered the scotch grain indy from unionmade. Somehow owning 4 shoes in the same model feels wrong, but so right.

^^I really want those scotch grain indy's. Very sweet.

Totally agree with Speekez and El Argentino, people obsess way too much about small inconsistencies in color, etc. Other than black shell, I believe the color differences are marks of authenticity and character. People ding Alden for poor quality, which I whole heartedly agree with (and have witnessed first-hand) when it comes to loose stitching and other complaints, but the color differences are inherent in shell.

Those look pretty nice but I think I'll resist.
I've got Indys in brown cxl, snuff suede, blue suede, black shell, #8 shell, whiskey shell, cigar shell, and standard cow.

Was very much kidding asking about that, but as El Argentino points out it sounds like a perfectly reasonable question in this thread. The boots look great without any question.

I don't feel as bad now, I don't have anywhere near as many.

I am afraid to get cordovan because I feel like they require more work to maintain. Maybe one day I will take the plunge.

The pants are bright, but not quite as bright as they look in the pic.

As some of you may know through messages exchanged with me, my shoe size has recently increased dramatically, resulting in most of my shoes no longer fitting. I am trying to fill in a new rotation of shoes for work. If anyone is interested in selling a pair of shell cordovans (preferably boots, but also considering lace up shoes) in the barrie 9D or any other last 9.5D, please get in touch. I won't clutter up the thread any more than with this message, and I thank those of you who have come through for me with a sale here or there so far.

thanks everyone. this is where community comes up big!
