For intel, I think it could be more interesting to strike up a conversation with the factory workers at the local watering hole.  (Am I stereotyping to assume they would be at one?)  You'd probably learn a lot more about what goes on in there.  On the other hand, perhaps management relies on them to maintain their operational opacity.  In that case, you'd do well to hide the agenda and not wear your Aldens.  :smarmy:

Not really all the workers must perform their duties blindfolded to maintain secrecy.....wait a minute that explains the QC. Concessions must be made to keep trade secrets like the crooked stitch technique safe.

I won some building materials at one of my suppliers lunches today. Already listing the stuff for private sale as it should net me about $300-$400, or as I like to refer to it as, halfway to a new pair of Aldens  :p

How do you feel they compare to the AE?

well this is my first pair of Aldens vs 3 pairs of AE. have a pair of oxblood longing cordovans, a walnut charleston and the CXL rush st.

i can say for certain that the construction of the CXL Alden seems to be more robust. other than that i will need to get another pair to get a better opinion

Good Evening Gentlemen,

I received my new Alden's from TSM today.  I must say that I am impressed with them all around.  They were irregulars.

Alden Black Cordovan Cap Toe Balmorals on Plaza Last

Now here is some pics:

(Left to Right)

Alden Hampton Last 9015 in Color 8; Alden Plaza Last Black Cordovan Cap Toes; Carmina Rain Last Full Brogues in Saddle Cordovan; Allen Edmond's 5 Last Strands in Brown Cordovan:

Here is a pic of the flaw.  Ed said that he felt like the horse had a scar in his hide.....it is small and barely noticeable.  I have had firsts look worse than this.

That's easy... Aberdeen.  However, there aren't many casual make-ups (like the Clark Street) on aberdeen, if casual is what you are looking for.

well i live in the tropics so i hardly if never wear suits on a daily basis, only to weddings.

my daily work wear are jeans and or slacks with a rolled up tucked in long sleeve shirt.

I'm one of those wannabe entrepreneurs:)
