Alden owes MrDV at least one MTO for all the purchases his photos have inspired.

(Hint: cigar NST on Barrie, commando, antique, eyelets)

Apparently I got my foot worse than I thought the other day on my computer tower...

Tan Suede PTBs tomorrow morning... :-)

Fine looking summer footwear, Mike.  I need a nice casual slip-on for the summer.  Was thinking of the snuff tassels from BB, but I think the van last would be more comfortable.

I'm really liking the NST, but feel there's too much overlap with the other Indys. But I seem to love Indys. The two tone Alt Wien is a stunner for sure, but I think the alpine grain is more striking. The 2 two tone-ness of the Alt Wien seems limiting.

I don't have a LWB yet, so perhaps that would be the perfect combination of a casual style and alpine grain.

Maybe I end up with 2/3.

(We can survive with one kidney, right?)

Kidneys are overrated!  ;)

If you really like the NST boot (excellent make-up btw), I would go with that and either be patient and wait for a rare shell LWB, or just snag the most classic of LWBs, the 975.  If you're looking for a more casual, non-shell LWB, I highly recommend the natural chromexcel or the snuff suede.  I think they both are readily available.  I've gotten a lot of great use this summer from my natty chrmxl LWB thus far.

Love your LWBs!  Highly underrated pair.  They look like they've barely been worn...  enjoy them often and in great health my friend!

Uncle, yet another great option I haven't really given much thought.  You have cost me a great deal of money these last few years!

If any of you guys get the emails from Leffot you are probably aware that they are having a 30% off tonight at 12.

I went to their site to just peek around see if they have anything I would like and if you hover over the pictures you can see what is likely to be the sale prices and which pairs will be included in the sale. Some decent pairs of light suede. Just a heads up if anyone was interested.

So a "nay" on the two-tone Alt Wien, eh? :)

I'll try to snag the boots, which I'd wear over the LWB in alpine. I've considered the #8 with antique and waterlock soles. I passed up a fantastic deal a few months back; wasn't ready to pull the trigger, regretting it now. I'm on the waitlist for the next round.

I'm thinking the Indy/NST is my "LWB." As some folks have a collection of gunboats, I just find this style of boot works so well for me. Never saw that coming.

Keep getting compliments no matter where I go wearing my Aldens. Thanks, gents!

Lovely summer ensemble Uncle.

Indeed Uncle!  Very inspiring...

^^^ Mine are a little darker than most snuff I've come across.

Thanks for the heads-up!  How long will these prices be in play?  Not many sizes available, but some interesting make-ups nevertheless...
