First Alden Cape cod loafer. Fits like glove on initial wear. Walked over 6 hours while I was visiting NYC and still felt very comfortable.

Note to myself: never take cordovan shoes on summer vacation.

Nice, Mike. Those new Whiskey ptbs look like a clean pair with rich, even coloration.

Obviously not the more recent cigar 9073. It's probably the old ravello reglazed with the newer dark version (it is much darker indoors). The vamp and heels are creased, the tongues are really faded and the insole is imprinted with wear. However, the sole and heel pads look 100% new. They don't say "restoration", but they sure look it (welt seems to stick out more as well). I've asked TSM about them, but won't be keeping a used restored shoe sold as a second.

Thats a very interesting color. I would love to have a pair even though I don't wear balmorals much.

I hope everyone here has a great 4th tomorrow!

Today I went with cigar, I mean (new) Ravello PTBs.  We had a severe thunder storm alert so I sported my new swims over-shoes.  They're a smidge big; do you think they make tongue pads for overshoes? biggrin.gif

Great shoes and combo rtp.

Great addition mdubs. The new whiskey color looks great.

This may be the best 4th of July ever; Germany - France, church picnic, Brazil - Colombia and lots of brushing during the games.

Hey sacafotos,

Just wanted to thank you again and note that I ended up wearing the Gamble's Hill Indys over the past few days.

I have fallen completely in love with these. The crepe sole is a bit odd, but I can't argue that they aren't comfortable. With the somewhat lightweight build they feel more like high-top sneakers than boots.

I want to put some serious wear into them before sharing photos, as yours have inspired me to do so... cheers icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

They are on their way to a good home. I mentioned the Ask Andy thread from years ago, and the 9073 in it seems to have a similar base color.

Maybe C2 has explained this before, but it appears this is Cristina Del Basso, star of the Italian version of "Big Brother."  From what I can tell, a majority of the show is footage of them showering.  And apparently, she is fond of wearing bathing suit tops that must be wrung out:

Really fantastic stuff.

Yes, that's her.

Happy, I posted again :D

By the way, Happy 4th to all of you south of the border.  Have a safe long weekend.

@Brandall10

I personally think no Indy should be on the Trubalance last. So, these Barrie Indy boots are awesome. Beat them to hell and back!

(And I think you sized correctly on the brandy shell—7.5—your forefoot should be touching the vamp somewhat. Relax.)

Yeah, these are quite special. Definitely daily driver status.

I'm actually at an 8 on the Brandy's now - it's not the vamp (which feels spot on), but how my foot rests at the flexpoint that has me concerned on my 7.5s.
