Thanks Guys!  This is one boot I've tried to find for a long time and never could get size 13.  The Shoemart finally got one in my size and I pulled the trigger.  Maiden voyage today doing the Mac Method for break in.

See Ya,

Steve

Really nice! Awesome color on those. Out of interest how did you size these?

I think you and I compete for size 13?  Fortunately I'm starting to get close to getting a lot more picky on what I buy as I fill up my shell collection.  I comfortably wear a 13D on Barrie, True Balance, and if its a lace up shoe or boot I can wear Aberdeen in 13D, or 13E slip on.  I originally started with 14D and that works fine too in lace up.  However slip on are too big.

I took a chance on these being an Aberdeen boot on 13D, but so far they feel fine.

I do like the #8 color on these....a good eggplant true to #8 version.

See Ya,

Steve

I did the buy now ask questions later on these boots seconds list boots from TSM.  I've searched and can't seem to find out much about these boots.  I've not been able to find any snuff suede boots all eyelets, water lock sole, and in particular the calf skin type tongue, and Modified Last.  I'm curious to see if anybody on the forum knows anything about them?  They seem to be somewhat rare, or have not been made for a while.

Would be in on the Alden seconds if ShoeMart shipped to Canada. My wallet is thankful they don't, but I do get jealous when the lists go out.

Uncle Mac-Thanks!  You know pictures of this boot that you posted last year is what got me looking for this boot.  I'm glad I got it added to my collection.

I'll go ahead and contribute what I'm wearing today. Standard 1493...I've really been digging snuff suede with navy linen lately.

Won't break the spell of seconds talk, it is a force beyond human control. Really nice shoe shots guys. Amazing Whisky, Ravello's, and good ole King Boots.

Ha, I am taking a 2 week vacation from Alden's because my "to shine" pile has grown beyond reasonable (traveling and taking different pairs with you, but no brush, with you each leg did not help this). Plus the factory is closed for two weeks, so I am aligning the vacations. If I can get my shoes back into their normal clean state early, I may cut the vacation short. I shined 4 pairs last night.

Not quite competetors, I take a 12.5D in the Barrie (13D would be too big). Surprised that you can wear the Aberdeen in the same size as your Barrie though... If I remember correctly the Aberdeen is narrower than the Leydon, which I have to wear in 13E. I was thinking of getting an Aberdeen boot in 13E - guess I'll have to go and try one on to make sure. This sizing stuff is all very confusing.

Uncle-You always seem to enhance whatever your wearing with your socks, and shine!  Color 8 is King!
