I got a little impulsive and bought some whiskey chukkas off ebay. Let's hope they're not too rough...

Will be interested to see what you can do with those creases.

Have any of you purchased the navy CXL Indy boots from Unipair? I'd like to see some pics in the wild.

Hey guys, just wondering, does this happen with all shell captoes? Does the cap stay dark while the rest of the shell cordovan lightens up?

Not in my experience

A little product, massaged properly. Deer bone to rub them out... I think there is hope... plenty.

I would have no problem working with them to bring them back to life.

You can do it. Progress pics when you get to it.

I have had a new pair of Whiskey Chukkas in my closet for far longer than I should. I saw that auction and was thinking they would sell for more, good deal on them as I think the pictures make them look more beat up than they are.

I'd love to see the pics after you work on them!

Ha. I was watching those. If I had caught the notification in time might have been a player. The creases seem a lot but for the price I think it's a good deal.

These look like the ultimate restoration challenge. However, it is a challenge that I would gladly undertake. A whiskey chukka seems like the ultimate 'cool' casual shoe. I would love the opportunity to own a pair even if it meant a challenge such as this. Good luck......and please post progress pic's.

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen!

I shall hit 'em with Renomat and some bone...come to think of it I need a bone. I suppose Leffot has 'em still.

I wanted some PTBs and these will FOOT the bill (pun intended).

Waitaminit. A deer bone is good for eliminating rolls? I thought it was just for scratches.

Yes the deer bone will make the creases less prominent. Care must be taken to not burnish the leather with the bone. It can do that and discolor the shell when it is very light colored.
