My tobacco Longwings arrived today and WOW they're huge. Check out the side by side pic. Mind you, both of these are size 9D, and both built on the Barrie last. So why are the Longwings almost an inch longer???

I may need to file them down with a 1/8" file (if I can order one online).

Im sure ill be picking up some more over the next few months. Mainly a suede boot in a darker brown with dainite sole and something in dark brown with leather sole for work. And something to wear with suits. Ive read most maybe 50 pages of this thread and haven't seen anything about keeping the stitching on the toes white? And ill check the eyelets and speed hooks when i get back home. thanks

What does that mean, that you got your call? A call to put down the full pre-order amount ?

I could only put my name on the list.

Yes. They called to see if I wished to place my order (and pay in full). Keep in mind I placed myself on the list a little over a year ago.

I suspect most people were on there for a very long time. Especially in the hot sizes.

At least the outlook for the future is looking a little brighter these past few weeks.

They're called "longwings" for a reason, haha!

Joking aside, are the heels different? Do they fit differently?

Can snuff suede LWB be worn with shorts (no socks)? Or is that a no go? It's hot here in Tejas!

i can now stop complaining about coming too late into the alden game. this has to be the renaissance age of exotics. hopefully colors and craftsmanship don't disappoint.

if only that whiskey Aberdeen nst blucher was a boot.... i would have gone full Black Friday on them over the phone. im sure tifosi would have as well. hell, tifosi would have been there tomorrow am ready to brawl.

Agreed. If it was a whiskey nst boot on Aberdeen, I don't know what I would've done to get one -- or to at least have had the chance to do so.

Haha! If there was anyNST boot in Whiskey or Ravello it'd be on! Too bad I'm not on the list. I'd be knocking people off that were on the list! LOL

Both my pairs of Indys had this issue. Ended up ordering these and using the cylindrical one, but pretty much any similar set will do.
