Does anyone have some photos of the Unlined Flex Penny Loafers in Snuff?

I'd like to see these in the wild, and in particular if you've paired them with denim...

Thanks in advance

Cheers,

Mike,

I saw these, and this is one reason for asking actually - those look almost "chocolate" in color, so I assumed you had some double secret squirrel models that nobody can actually buy... :^)

But most photos I can find on line seem so portray plain "snuff" as more of a caramel color - are yours "snuff" or are yours the "Dark Brown" version like the ones from TSM?:

PSA: I have a pair of Cigar cap toe boots from Alden DC in 11 D and they are just a smidge tight. Is the consensus that they wont stretch out to fit as I wear them? PM me if you'd like them and just pay for my shipping cost to you or they will be going back to Alden DC by the end of week. Thanks all.

Mine are labeled as snuff. I bought them from O'Connells during their Alden clear out sale. I can pull the model number out of them when I get home. Snuff varies a bit from shoe to shoe, batch to batch kind of like Shell.

dc - if you look at my review from when I first tried on mine, I commented on the exact same thing.

As the footbed compresses they open a bit and mine fit fine now - they were in my rotation for a recent trip to Europe w/ no issue at all.

EDIT: Here is a direct link to my post on the topic

Thanks Buckeye - went back to your review and it was helpful. I'm an 11E on the leydon so in the 11D Grant theyre tight. I do think I will need the boots give more than yours needed to give.

That's too bad - all I can say is after living in mine for the better part of 8 days, the fit changed, and opened up to where I wouldn't call the fit across the toe box "snug" anymore...

Good Luck

The first pair is from Unionmade, the Alpine Brown Longwings in grain leather.

The other pair is from J Crew, the Tobacco Longwings.

Does anybody have any experience and/or pictures with both of these colors? Are they different enough to justify keeping both?

I'll also add that I don't wear wingtips a lot. I mainly lean towards the indy boots for casual, and Alfred Sargent double monk straps or Alden cordovan boots for work/ formal occasions.

I had the Alpine grain but Not the Unionmade version the DC , only difference is the sole (Commando vs. Double Waterlock) and the color is very rich and nice but the leather is a bit stiff, between your choices ,I'd take the Alpine , it's also a good leather for rain etc.

Here's a pic.

Awesome, those are beautiful shoes!! I think I have made up my mind, and will go for the Alpine Grain. Thanks everyone for your input. I will surely post some photos when they arrive (maybe even some side by sides of the tobacco and alpine grains!!)

Just saw this and thought I would pass it on.

Thanks! I would jump on some, but I think I have some JAB shoe trees that may be homeless soon so I think I'll hold off for now.

I am looking for a casual blucher on commando soles.  I thought the color 8 with light edge/commando soles form Unionmade was it, but I'm thinking this alpine grain on commando may be it.
