No. I just hit the welt and sole edge while I am brushing the upper.

Nicely manicured concrete, BK. Great Ravellos. I'm not a PTB guy, but I'd rock the hell outta them.

LSBH probably had no issue selling Alden shoes (they could always just sell them via the website if necessary). The issue probably was with their other brands. In a city like NYC, you have suits willing to spend $1,600 on Lobb, Edward Green, etc. In LA, as one other poster mentioned, I imagine shoes will likely either be super casual or more fashion forward than those brands.

Remember that Alden's aesthetic, even today, is relatively conservative. That works well in cities like NYC, DC, and I guess even San Francisco to an extent with some buyers.

I own and like the black unlined PTB. I thought about swapping them out fo the 9901 or the BB version. But I think the black cordovan unlined PTB may be Alden's sleekest PTB available (I'm very curious to see how these Aberdeen cigar PTBs look).

Nice to see shoes on here that look like they've actually been worn a few times!  Good character developing.  Next stop, patina . . .

In need of some advice... Will having the new ravello PTB and this Aberdeen cigar PTB be too redundant? The ravello PTB is pretty dark... almost cigar-like with dark edge (the Aberdeen PTB has a light or mid tan antique edge)
My other option is the new Unionmade color 8 PTB with mid tan antique edge on commando. I also have the standard 990. Will both be redundant?? Thanks!

I think you need to consider that the new cigar will probably be super dark compared to the old cigar. New ravello and OLD Cigar are close, but not new cigar. From what I have personally held in my hands recently...new cigar is redundant with #8. YMMV.
