Beebs, sadly there is a growing community of people having shoes de mdubs. Mdubs has exceeded his shoe quota by far and is going to be continuing to slowly offload some shoes.

I'll take a pix of them in the sunlight when I wear them to see if you can still see any burgundy.

They don't have that leather cover on the tip that some of the Alden crepes come with. Also, many of you commented that crepe is as heavy as a double leather sole, but these feel pretty light (lighter than a new dble sole?). Sorry I didn't weigh them beforehand. I asked for a darker crepe and Nick complied. I didn't want that orangy or yellow crepe.

Took 5 weeks to get them back. Total damage was $150 (shipped both ways). Thanks, Nick. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Wow, these are nice and you really made out. As much as I love commando, crepe has slowly inched into the lead as my favorite sole. I got a quote from Nick about 6 months ago to convert a pair of PTB's to crepe and the price was $225. At $150, I would have pulled the trigger. My crepe's have the leather toe cover, which I prefer primarily because of the way I wear my shoes, but that is just me. Bottom line is yours look great and you have a unique shoe that no one else owns. Nicely done and congrats.

My plan is to return them but I figured I'd offer them to the community. I'm heading to jcrew on Saturday so PM me before then if interested.

I'm not looking for offers or to make money on the sale. These are not seconds and I paid full price. Again, it is only as a service to the community. Here is a shot. I will send more pics to anyone interested.

These should make someone very happy.

Width in the ball of the foot will be very similar, but the toebox is where Aberdeen usually gets tight.  If you go E width in a loafer, there's a good chance your heel will slip, as sizing in the heel is C on an E (whereas it's B on a D width).  Many troubles with Aberdeen can be solved by shooting a tad longer and narrower, esp in the loafer.  YMMV.

This is a listing that belongs in the marketplace, not a PSA. It does not belong in this thread.

That is my hope. They are truly goegeous and without one single flaw. Perfectly even color and not a misplaced stitch to be found, which is why I hesitated to return them. I've simply got way too many boots so unfortunately, they need to go. Thanks.

I am kind of with you, but I get on the bubble if people are trying to help the community vice make a profit. I think he could have spoilered more of it or a quick psa that has a link to the market place. But yes, this thread is not a boot or shoe sale thread. :-)

I have seen similar announcements and again, I am not looking to profit. However, if you truly wanted to be helpful, a PM would have been nice.
