I really love these.

If someone made them in #8 shell i'd be all over them.

Completely different shades, however it is batch dependent.

I would lean toward describing black cherry for AE's burgundy, versus a more eggplant for Alden's Color 8.

I would say so, here is a pic of my burgundy Leeds. I have never really seen a pair of Alden PTB posted that were as light or cherry colored as these.

I'd say these are lighter and more cherry, but I don't think these are representative of most Alden PTBs.  I agree with whoever said it earlier, that it was batch-dependent.

DV, awesome pics and a beautiful surrounding. Nice to see a work boot being used for work like stuff.

DV, excellent LWBs. Nice to see them starting to patina. You clearly had good taste from the onset. :-)

Uncle, love the horse bit loafers. I ended up picking up the black cod version. Does yours have a gold or silver bit?

I like the sleekness of the full-strap loafers and I really like the foxing on the back of them. Keep it up sir!

How's the sizing for the Aberdeen last?

9D in the Hampton = 9D in the Aberdeen? Which one is slightly wider?

Thanks... These are becoming one of my most worn shoes. I was skeptical on than until I bought a pair - they are easy to maintain and look great with suits or business casual wear. I think I am going to invest a bit more into cordovan loafers - I am considering a pair of color 8 tassels and the Ralph Lauren marlow penny...

hampton is slightly wider in the heel, wider in the toe as well.  I wear 9D in both.
