It could be that the writer is just a fellow styleforum member who decided to write a piece about what we already suspected. Hardly makes things official. And also the 15% figure means nothing because the article states that starting last year, they already started reaching pre-drought levels, meaning the cordovan supply wasn't that great even pre-drought. The first 80% drop could have been in 1920 for all we know.
