I have to get out of the office and into the field 10-15 days a month, so I usually slum it in these or cxl tankers. I end up rarely wearing shell, hence the sales.

Thanks, someone can correct me if I am wrong, but it is calf that is tanned similar to shell. It is very oily and with withstand anything you through at it. I wear mine when I need to get out of the office and into the field around heavy construction equipment. They've been ankle deep in mud, water and snow and still going strong. Wish I could same the same thing about the commando soles as I am constantly glueing them back on.
There may be benefits to using the lambs wool for polishing that I have not yet realized because of the way I use it. I wouldn't take my comments as a reson not to try it. There are some less expensive versions than the EG branded mitt.
I hear ya and will ask about it next time I stop by Leffot. If I hear anything interesting ill report back.
