Leffot posted a much nicer picture of the boots to it's Instagram page.

I had a couple of very pleasant interactions with Leffot by phone and by e-mail.  When I went into the store and asked a few questions about some EGs I'd seen posted on instagram, I got a disinterested response, a couple of "I don't know"s and a complete lack of interest in following up to provide me with more information on $1,400 shoes I was thinking of buying.  As with most businesses, it depends on who you are dealing with and perhaps what kind of day they are having.

Is it stupid to preorder the Leffot boots today if I just got the Unionmade Cap Toe's in #8.  They're not PCT and they're on the Commando sole... http://unionmadegoods.com/product/alden-kirkwood-cordovan-cap-toe-boot-in-color-8-3962hc/

Should I diversify first?

that really depends on your current collection.

I am waiting for an entrepreneur to develop the first Leffot bot. We have an entire generation coming up that are used to those tactics for sneaker drops, so it seems like a logical path as their tastes mature.

Just the unionmade's and a brown suede PCT boot from Moulded on the modified last.  I really like the Naval boot with the antique edge, but kinda thinking I should do a LWB or wintip boot next.

#8 LWB with black edge trim is more useful in my opinion.

I'm guessing at the rate I wear them, they'll need a resole after another two winters.

I must say, it was your pics that prompted me to purchase the boot ... nice to see them continuing to age gracefully.

Absolutely fantastic looking boots - that's a great look, good for you

Anyone notice that the email for the Naval boot says Fall/Winter, but the text on the page says the standard 12-16 weeks?  Which is it?  December is far away.

Anyone know offhand about how off Leffot runs the Tankers? Roughly every 6 months? Once a year?
