I think the Indy is sexier and more casual. It's more striking, whereas the LWB is casual but less "street" than the Indy. I'd WANT to beat up the Indy but not necessarily the LWB.

I wore my Leffot Natural CXL Indy to a garden center today tree hunting.

Mud, muck, rocks and gravel - they saw all sorts of abuse today....

Then why isn't his name aldenfan?  :rimshot:

@ryden, that sucks no other way to put it. If they were a stock model I would send them back, being a grail I would take it on the chin. Sad but true, we know another run is 2 years away at best. It makes me fearful of what I may find when I open the box. Gulp!

Expert or not he came here asking for feedback.....

Rydenfan, I think you should keep them.

The striping on the side is a very tough call but I think personally I could deal with them, hopefully with the Mac Method and some Saphir cream you could get them to even out a bit over time.

What 45 is sitting on the floor in that pic... I need to get my record player back out.

Most if not all of us come here for feedback at one time or another. Often I am more critical of the flaws on my shoes than I would be if that same flaw were on someone else's shoes. Nothing wrong with asking for second opinion nor is it a sign of lack of knowledge.

Very inconsistent welt color

Racing stripes (more pronounced in person)

Missing piece

Didn't even read the original post before making my wiseass "aldenfan" comment, but thought I'd weigh in.  I'd personally be pretty disappointed, esp with the racing stripes, and not sure what I'd do.  Probably would send back, unless this is a grail shoe for you, in which case you may need to just accept and put it behind you.  Easier said than done, and I'm sorry this had to happen, esp on such a coveted run of boots.

Keep them! I only own two pairs of aldens so not too experienced here. But both of mine came with similar flaws on the welt and similar irregularity in the dyeing. Whenever I have new things (gadgets, clothes, shoes, etc.), even the smallest imperfection really bothers me. But after a month or two I forget about it. If that doesn't sound like you though I'd return them.

Ryden my good friend,
Call, have them put you as first for their next batch. Keep and rock these, sell them in 2016 for 1k when you get your next pair.

I was 4 of 4 I believe and one 12D in this thread said they passed on their spot. Wondering if they are still going through the orders or if a call is in order?

When I put my name on the list, I was told I was #2 for 12D, and that they were only making 1 pair in that size. One person in this thread passed on 12D, and another here received 12D. That means they either made more than 1 pair, or didn't follow the list exactly. I've left a message and sent an email to DC but haven't heard back, so I'm assuming I wont be getting a pair.
