They will lighten up as they age and get some patina. Then they'll be YOUR shade of color 8.

Just a detour...

Talking about the different shades of color 8.

From left to right: dark burgundy, reddish purple, brownish (cigarish) purple, and dark burgundy

Nice lineup. I had a good sequence of pics showing how my 4060s aged, but I went through my phone and cleaned out all my shoe pics.

I know you set on Alden DC captoe but these PCT Alden x JCrew boots look great.

There no right or wrong. I also got #8 captoe from Kathy as my first cordovan boots but returned and after two years got JCrew PCT and absolutely love this makeup.

Good luck with your choice.

sadly, not as much variation in my #8

naval boot is my favorite at the moment, but the clunky TB indy is most worn

Ugh I waver back and forth between the two (I'd get the Alden makeup if it had the JCrew colors in a heartbeat). And then I see a picture like this:

and just kind of want to wait and see if I win the lottery/the next order is quicker.

It is. Both it and the plaza WT to the right came from LS.

Awesome line up you have here, definitively an enviable line up. Where are you perforated cap toe boots with all eyelets from? And are they on the barrie?

Those wingtip boots are flash. I don't always like Alden boots, but these all eyelet jobs are stellar.

The photos over the past couple days have been noteworthy. Cheers.

I believe it'll be at least another 12-14 months.

1) Kwhitelaw, I thought you were pulling out of the Alden Shell Game.

2) I'm glad I'm not the only 11.5-12 guy on this thread who sits w/ his macbook pro on his bed, while polishing/photographing his shell shoes. Carry on.
